HOW TO: Create sticky posts in WordPress

This plugin will allow you to force posts to the top of your home page by either assigning them as a sticky or announcement post.

  1. Download the plugin here: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-sticky/
  2. Extract the folder and upload ‘wp-sticky’ to your /wp-content/plugins folder.
  3. Login to your wordpress site, go to plugins and enable the widget.
  4. Open the post you want to be sticky, you will now see the options down the bottom right.

Note: The post option ‘announcement’ will force it to the top regardless of date published, the sticky options will force it to the top for the day.
